Announcement Alhmadullellah with the grace of Allah SWT the Building Permit for the construction of our new mosque on 27-31 Green Street, Doveton has finally been issued.
Asalamualaikum Wa Rahmatullahe Wa Barakatuhu, We are pleased to announce the appointment of the new Imam at Omar Farooq Mosque, Qari Zabiullah. Qari Zabiullah was officially appointed by AICOM, as an Imam for one year to perform all duties of an Imam, including leading the five times prayers, the Jumah Khutba and Jumah Prayer, Eid Prayers, Janaza prayers, running of Quran classes, and all other Islamic duties as specified in his contract. Qari Zabiullah completed his Islamic studies at Al Azhar Islamic University in Cairo, Egypt. It is to be mentioned that Qari Aziz Ahmad Popal is appointed as Imam’s assistant. While we congratulate both Qari Zabiullah and Qari Aziz Ahmad Popal on their new appointments, we pray to Allah SWT to give them both the strength and the abilities to serve the Afghan and the Islamic community at AICOM.

Services We Offer
The is not just a mosque for prayers rather it is a community center for all. The Center is committed to preserving an Islamic identity, building and supporting a viable Muslim community, promoting a comprehensive Islamic way of life based on the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad.
Mosque
Daily Prayer Five daily prayers are offered, along with Jumuah Friday congregation prayers, Eid and Ramadan Taraweeh Prayers. Quran classes for Boys & Girls. Includes Tajweed and memorization Ijazah. Accreditations provided.
Islamic Education
The Imam at AICOM Dr Iftikhar Ahmad runs Quran Tafseer and Fiqh classes from Monday to Thursday after Maghreb Prayers. In addition, every day after Fajr Prayer in the morning, the Imam Dr. Iftikhar Ahmad reads and discusses Hadith of the beloved Prophet Mohammad peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him.
Funeral Service
AICOM can provide and/or facilitate comprehensive funeral services to the Muslims living in Victoria, which includes coroner’s clearance, arrangement of transportation of Jenaza from Coroner/hospital to the morgue (cool room) in the Mosque and then to the cemetery, washing of the body, purchase of a grave, grave-plate, timber, and digging of grave.
